REVIEW
If wanting to become a good golfer is your ambition then Thorpe Hall Golf Club seems to have the recipe to help you. The Thornton Cup (scratch county knockout) seems to have a special place here. I know many golfers at Thorpe Hall and they do have the competitive edge. Bill Mc coll the club pro is a welcome attraction due to the endless work he puts in. The clubhouse is nicely situated surrounded by the putting green, 1st and 18th holes making good viewing. The course is normally in good condition alough from time to time suffers from drainage problems. The par 5's offer birdie chances while the key to playing this course well I think lies in negotiating holes 2, 9,10 and 18. They are reasonably short par 4's and are open to be played a few different ways, attack and create birdie opportunities with the good shot but failure will lead to card wrecking scores and you won't be the last to try it on.
