The most common fault I find in all standards of golfers is bad technique in the set up and grip. While making a balanced set up with a good grip doesn't guarantee a good golf swing it goes a long way to helping the swing improve. With this in mind I have dedicated the first eight weeks to the set up and grip. Good luck and hard practising.

Creating A Balanced Setup
(dia 1)
(dia 2)
(dia 3)
(dia 4)
The balance and weight in the set up and getting the weight even in your feet, is created much like standing up straight, as in (Dia 1.). Unfortunately to reach the ball you have to flex your knees (Dia 2.) and bend your back (Dia 3.). As you can see in diagrams 2 & 3 implementing these separately the balance goes to your heels and toes respectively. (Dia 4.) Shows a balanced set up where the weight is even in the feet, helping you to retain the back angle you have made during the swing.
This lesson will be followed up next week with feet and shoulders alignment.
