Come winter or summer Orsett Golf Club best feature has to be the ability to play golf all year round rest assured not to get mud half way up your legs and in your face. Built on gravel terrain the drainage is superb which is very unusual for the typically clay soiled Essex Golf Course. The golf course is a par 72 offering many birdie opportunities with the relatively short par 5's. To balance the course there are some very long par 4's and awkward par 3's. You must make your score in the first 13 holes as when moving into the field holes 14 to 17 and the 18th hole you won't find a tougher finish anywhere in golf. The clubhouse has been extended and refurbished offering fantastic facilities to any guests, who are made to feel very welcome. Orsett Golf Club is well worth a visit and the green fee.
