REVIEW
Newquay Golf Club is set in stunning surroundings and exudes the true links feel. This review may be a little biased as I had a fantastic round there.
I was accompanied by Mark from the guesthouse Avondale (advert at the bottom) a fantasic guy who took time out from his schedule to play. We both played really well. The course was playing a little short and there was a rare lack of wind. The greens were quick and fair, the fairways are very forgiving and we were able to blast away with our drivers without too much penalty.
The course in my opinion needs to grow some rough to defend it more, although if you stray into the typically links bunkers you wont agree that it needs toughening. Both of use fell foul of the 17th, a real par 3 card wrecker. A great course and club, you must play it. If you are staying there book up a room with Mark (if you can get one!)
