REVIEW
Frinton is the nearest one will play to a links course in Essex. At first glance the absence of trees may indicate an easy test, but this is not the whole story. Fast, firm and undulating greens test the best putters, tidal ditches cross many fairways requiring careful placement of shots and usually there is the wind to consider. It is rare to play in still conditions at Frinton and its open character means that every shot has to be evaluated with both wind strength and direction in mind. A 130 yard shot that requires a pitching wedge down wind can after require a long iron when played in the opposite direction.
A lovely clubhouse with a wonderful view from the lounge or patio across the course offers a warm welcome. Visitors and societies are welcome by arrangement with the Manager/Secretary
