Chigwell Golf Club is everything you should expect and more. A reasonably hilly course flanked by some of the most spectacular houses you will find in Essex. Don't let this divert your mind while playing this golf course as all your concentration will be needed on choosing a line on these difficult to read greens. While offering some birdie opportunities you won't find to many course that can potentially wreck your scorecard after two holes. The 1st hole a long par 4 needing a long accurate tee shot and an approach shot that just seems not to want to find the green. The 2nd a demanding par 3 which oozes trouble everywhere but the course does become easier, honest! A combination between tradition and informality is achieved in the clubhouse adding to friendly welcoming atmosphere. One of the more established golf courses in Essex and well worth a visit.
