The next seven weeks of lessons concentrate on forming a swing from solid fundamentals.
The Basic Fundamentals of the Golf Swing
( week 14) Retaining body angles and focus at ball.

(dia 4)
The common but wrong advice I often hear from one amateur to another is
"keep your head down" or "still" whilst topping the ball. While eye, ball
coordination is important in any kind of sport it is possible and likely to
hit the ball well with your focus is not on the ball. The problem comes when
the distance you are from the ball created in you set up is changed by your
legs or back angles changing during the swing. (Dia 1,2 and 3) show the
different points in the swing with the back angle staying the same, helping
consistent striking of the ball. The follow through (Diagram 4) is the only
time you should allow the back angle to straighten to create a ballenced
finish position
This lesson will be followed up next week with a lesson to show how swaying in the golf swing affects ball flight.
